Created from a restored ancient residence, nestled amid the fertile lands of the Agro Romano – the historic rural area encircling Rome – Il Casale delle Ginestre is a welcoming family-run farmstay with a strong emphasis on sustainability and man’s harmonious relationship with nature.
The premises is set within a 75,000-square-metre forest, making it a unique setting that’s a perfect base for enjoying the authentic flavours of Mediterranean cuisine, visiting Rome and the area of Tragliatella – Il Casale’s home town – and is just a short distance from Fiumicino airport.
The harmonious relationship with nature is further enhanced by the verdant meadows and pretty pond which makes us a perfect haven of relaxation for young and old alike.
We also have a dedicated children’s play area, this too in a splendid natural setting, where kids can play in complete safety.
Ample internal and external areas, an infinity pool, and centuries-old trees make Il Casale delle Ginestre an oasis of peace. Our flourishing farm and kitchen garden is well-stocked with vegetables and fruitto ensure a plentiful source of farm-fresh ingredients and the authenticity of the cuisine served in our restaurant.
This means our menu offers dishes based on meat reared on Il Casale’s own farm, along with local cheeses and meats rigorously sourced from local suppliers, and hand-selected by our expert staff.

Ourfamily took over the running of the ancient residence of Il Casale in 2000, and from the outset we have spared no effort in renovating the building and developing our farmstay business. With every passing year, our vegetable garden and livestock of turkeys, goats, rabbits, geese and chickens has expanded, ensuring an ever wider and more variedmenu featuring traditional local cuisine, and our soon-to-be-opened educational farm experience, suitable for the whole family.
Our passion for nature also means respecting the environment, which is why Il Casale delle Ginestre uses green energy to power its air conditioning, through photovoltaic panels and geothermal systems.
